Desiree is a graphic designer by day, foodie enthusiast by night.
“Ever since I was a child, I have always wanted to learn how to cook. My mother was an incredible cook and I learned so much from her. Many of these dishes were inspired by her.”
“Food was always the center of family gatherings and events. Whenever there was a party or holiday, cooking and bringing our favorite dishes was what brought us closer together.”
Desiree’s heritage is English/Irish/French/Scandinavian on her mother’s side and Filipino/Spanish/Polynesian on her father’s side.
Diane was born and raised in Hawaii and also shares a love for comfort food.
Working for an airline, Diane travels mainly to Japan and has experienced authentic Japanese cuisine at its best. Her mother is a also a native of Japan and immigrated to Hawaii during the 1950’s. Her mother and father were both great cooks, specializing in Japanese cuisine. Diane grew up in what is called an asian melting pot. In Hawaii, there are many different cultures, such as native Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, Portuguese, and Micronesian. With all of these various ethnicities, Hawaiian cuisine has evolved from all of these cultures. With all of the different types of food to enjoy, it’s no wonder why Hawaii is considered one of the happiest places to live.
