New England Clam Chowder
Clam Chowder… An American Classic.
The first time I had a bowl of Clam Chowder, I fell in love. Being from a coastal state, we enjoy much of what the ocean has to offer. And clam chowder is one of my favorite soups. It’s comforting, creamy and clammy! I love to eat clam chowder on a cold a overcast day. In Southern California, most people eat it with fresh sourdough bread. French bread is also good. You can serve it with oyster crackers, which will thicken the soup. Add a dash of your favorite hot sauce or worcestershire sauce for added depth of flavor.
